The Krasman Centre welcomes those with mental health issues

The Krasman Centre plays an integral role in reaching out to those who need our help. It is a community drop-in centre for people dealing with mental health issues, and their families.

It is their goal to create a vibrant welcoming place that provides:

• the support that builds confidence
• inspires creativity
• recognizes potential
• engages people in positive, long-lasting change

Programs offered are:

• Family and Community Outreach
• Peer Support
• Self-Help Network
• Warm Line

All programs and services, including volunteer-delivered programs, are delivered by people who identify as having direct personal experience of mental health extremes and/or homelessness and/or people who identify as psychiatric consumer/survivors as part of their peer support philosophy.

There is no intake process, which often inhibits people from accessing supports and services.

The Krasman Centre welcomes the communities support by:

1. Holiday Donations Drive - any new and unused personal toiletry items (men’s and women’s) or any knitted items (scarves, gloves, hats, etc).
   
2. Volunteers - Art Teacher, answering their Warm Line
3. Cash Donatiions
